About the Aatmanirbhar Gujarat Scheme for assistance to MSMEs: Assistance for Power Connection Charges Scheme
The "Aatmanirbhar Gujarat Scheme for MSMEs" is an umbrella scheme launched by the Industries and Mines Department, Gujarat. It aims to empower the state's dynamic MSME sector, which significantly contributes to employment, GDP, and exports. Effective from October 5, 2022, to October 4, 2027, this initiative supports growth, investments, and the vision of "Aatmanirbhar Gujarat" and "Aatmanirbhar Bharat."
The component "Assistance for Power Connection Charges" financial assistance to eligible Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to offset costs incurred for power connection charges. It covers charges for new connections, additional load for expansion, or shifting connections or service lines, subject to conditions.
Benefits
- Financial Assistance: Assistance of 35% on charges paid to the distribution licensee for LT/HT service lines maximum assistance of up to ₹5,00,000/- during the operative period of the scheme.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be registered as an MSME.
- The enterprise must have obtained acknowledgment or registration from the Ministry of MSME or the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), as applicable.
- The enterprise must be located outside GIDC/approved industrial parks.
- Charges must be paid to the distribution licensee during the scheme's operative period.
- Assistance applies to new power connections, additional load for expansion, or shifting of connection/service lines.
- Applications must be submitted within one year from the date of payment to the distribution licensee.

Step-4: After verification, you will be registered successfully.
