APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship

1. Financial support of ₹6,000/- per annum for selected scholars.
2. The scholarship is intended for students pursuing three-year diploma courses in government, aided, or government-approved self-financing polytechnic institutions.

> The scholarship is a one-time benefit.

1. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Kerala.
2. The applicant must be a regular/scheduled student.
3. The applicant should belong to a religious minority community (Muslim, Christian (all denominations), Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi).
4. The applicant must be studying a three-year diploma course in a government, aided, or government-approved self-financing polytechnic institution.
5. The applicant must have secured admission in a merit seat in a government-approved self-financing polytechnic institution.
6. The applicant&#39;s family annual income should not exceed ₹8,00,000/- if from the APL (Above Poverty Line) category.
7. The applicant can be a second-year or third-year student.
8. The applicant must have an account in their own name in any nationalised bank or scheduled bank.

> Preference/Priority/Reservation/Relaxation:

• BPL (Below Poverty Line) category applicants will be given preference.
• 30% of the scholarships are reserved for girls. If the specified percentage of girls is not met, eligible boys will also be considered for the scholarship.
• The selection of minority students is based on family annual income and marks, proportionate to the population.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Directorate of Minority Welfare.

Step 2: Locate and click on the &quot;Scholarship&quot;.

Step 3: Navigate to the &quot;Scholarship&quot; menu link and click on &quot;APJ Abdul Kalam (APJAK)&quot;.

Step 4: Click on &quot;Apply Online&quot;.

Step 5: For new scholarship applicants, first complete one-time registration and log in with your candidate details.

Step 6: In the Registration Form, carefully enter the details step-by-step under Examination details (register number/roll number), Personal details, and Scholarship details tabs.

Step 7: In the Upload details tab, upload the required documents (Photo, Signature, SSLC Certificate, Income Certificate, Ration Card Copy, Allotment Memo) in JPEG format under 100 KB size each.

Step 8: Only after uploading all required documents, the registration process will be considered complete.

Step 9: After completing the application submission, use the View/Print Application link to take a printout of the application form.

> Submission of Application Printout

• After submitting the scholarship application (either through new registration or login), click on &quot;View/Print Application&quot; to get a printout of your registration form.
• Submit the printout of the registration form along with all the required supporting documents to the head of the institution where you are studying, within the specified deadline.
