The scheme "Assistance for Planting Vegetable Crops for Raw and Ripe Mandap" introduced by the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department, Gujarat, aims to offer financial support to farmers across Gujarat for constructing vegetable trellises (mandaps) using wooden/bamboo supports and GI/plastic wires.
Benefits
> Raw Mandap (Tomato/Chilli and other vegetables):
- General Farmers: 50% subsidy, up to ₹26,000/ha.
- SC/ST Farmers: 75% subsidy, up to ₹39,000/ha.
> Semi-ripe Mandap (Vine vegetables):
- General Farmers: 50% subsidy, up to ₹40,000/ha.
- SC/ST Farmers: 75% subsidy, up to ₹60,000/ha.
> Ripe Mandap (Vine vegetables):
- General Farmers: 50% subsidy, up to ₹80,000/ha.
- SC/ST Farmers: 75% subsidy, up to ₹1,20,000/ha.
> Other Support Details:
- Maximum area eligible: 2 hectares per farmer.
- Construction material: 1600 wooden/bamboo poles per hectare, 400 kg GI wire (12-18 gauge) or plastic wire.
- Recommended spacing: 2.50 x 2.50 meters.
