About the Balram Talab Yojana Scheme
The scheme "Balram Talab Yojana" was launched by the Farmer Welfare and Agricultural Development Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme aims to support agriculture activities on a sustainable basis by conservation of rainwater in the field, enriching surface and groundwater availability. Only those farmers who have installed drip or sprinkler sets in financial year 2017-18 or thereafter and currently in operational condition will be granted approval for subsidized pond construction.

Benefits
- General category farmers receive 40% of the construction cost or maximum ₹80,000/- as subsidy.
- Small and marginal farmers receive 50% of the construction cost or maximum ₹80,000/- as subsidy.
- Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category farmers receive 75% of the construction cost or maximum ₹1,00,000/- as subsidy.
##### *Disbursement*
- The subsidy will be disbursed to the beneficiary based on the progress of pond construction.
- The subsidy will be provided within 30 days based on the evaluation by the Soil Conservation Staff.
##### *Conditions*
- All conditions and eligibility must be verified by the Soil Conservation Survey Officer before subsidy benefits are provided.
- Before providing the benefit under this scheme, verification of the land will be conducted by the Conservation Survey Officer.
- From a security perspective, it is mandatory to install a board at the pond site to prevent drowning incidents. This must be installed at the farmer's own expense. In the absence of a board, if any accident occurs, the farmer will be solely responsible.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.
- The applicant must possess agricultural land.
- The applicant must have installed drip or sprinkler sets in financial year 2017-18 or thereafter, and these must be currently in operational condition, to be eligible for subsidized pond construction.
- The applicant must construct the pond on their own land. Subsidy will not be provided for pond construction on leased land.

How to Apply for Balram Talab Yojana
Application mode: Online
Step 1: Visit the MP DBT Agriculture Portal. Navigate to the "पंजीकरण" (Registration) section. Complete Aadhaar authentication using OTP.
Step 2: On the next screen, provide your personal details: Name, Address, Mobile Number, and Land Ownership Information. Upload the following mandatory documents: Aadhaar Card, Land Records (e.g., Khasra/Khatauni), Bank Passbook, Passport-size Photo.
Step 3: On the next screen, a list of available schemes will be displayed. Select "Balram Talab Yojana" scheme from the list. You will be taken to the online form of the scheme.
Step 4: In the form, fill in all the mandatory fields and upload all the mandatory documents in the specified format and size.
Step 5: Carefully review all the information provided and the documents uploaded. Make any necessary corrections. Submit the application and note the application ID for future tracking.
