About the Disabled Person Pension Scheme - Punjab Scheme

Disabled People often do not have any permanent source of income. Due to this they are not able to take care of their daily need expenses. Government of Punjab comes to the rescue of disabled people by starting Disability Pension Scheme in State. The main objective behind launching this scheme is to provide financial support to disabled people of Punjab. Social Security and Women & Child Development Department of Punjab Government is the nodal department of this scheme.

Amount : ₹ 1,500/- per month

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of Punjab.
  2. Applicant should be Disabled and the Disability Percentage should be more than 50%.
  3. The Annual Income of Family should not be more than Rs. 60,000/- per Year.
  4. People with mental disabilities are eligible regardless of their specific disability.
