The scheme aims to provide education loans to members of the Backwards Classes for pursuing professional and technical education. Through this scheme, financial assistance in the form of education loans is provided to eligible Backwards Class students.

About the Education Loan Scheme for Backward Classes Haryana Scheme

The scheme "Education Loan Scheme for Backward Classes" by the Haryana Backwards Classes and Economically Weaker Sections Kalyan Nigam, Government of Haryana, aims to provide education loans to members of Backward Classes for pursuing professional and technical education at the graduate and higher levels. Through this scheme, education loans are provided to eligible Backward Classes students to help them pursue professional and technical courses. The scheme is implemented by the Haryana Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections Kalyan Nigam.

Benefits

  1. Education loan for pursuing professional and technical education at the graduate and higher levels.
  2. The maximum loan amount provided is ₹15,00,000/- for studies in India.
  3. The maximum loan amount provided is ₹20,00,000/- for studies abroad.
  4. The interest rate is 4% per annum.
  5. For girl students, the interest rate is 3.5% per annum.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. The applicant should be between 18 to 55 years of age.
  2. The applicant should be a permanent resident of Haryana.
  3. The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed ₹3,00,000/- in both rural and urban areas.
  4. The applicant should belong to Backward Classes.
  5. The applicant should have obtained admission for any professional and technical courses approved by an appropriate agency, such as AICTE, Medical Council of India, UGC, etc., in a duly accredited/recognised institute.
  6. The applicant should have a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam, i.e., the exam whose qualification is a prerequisite for the course.
  7. The applicant should have a Pariwar Pehchan Patra (PPP ID).

Step 1: Visit the Official Portal: Antyodaya-SARAL Portal.

Step 2: For registration, click on “New User/Register Here” and fill in all the mandatory details,i.e., Name, Email ID, Mobile Number &amp;amp; password. Click on ‘Submit’.

Step 3:**** Verify the OTP received in the provided Email and Mobile Number. Alternatively, click on the Verification Link to activate the profile.
