Benefits

Grant-in-Aid

Sanctioned to the extent of 75% of the estimated cost expenditure of the works as the first instalment per work for the execution of minor works to the school buildings.

Ceiling Limit

The ceiling limit is ₹ 50,000/-, other than for the works for which funds have been allotted under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Scheme.

Mode of Payment

The payment towards the expenditure is made through cheques.

Eligibility Criteria

All Government school buildings that need urgent minor repairs are eligible.

Step 1: The interested School Education Committee / Urban Education Committee, after identifying the necessary repair works, should prepare a detailed proposal that includes all the essential details such as cost estimates, etc.

The Director of Education after scrutiny sanctions Grant-in-aid to the extent of 75% of the estimated cost expenditure of the works as first instalment per work for the execution of minor works to the school buildings.
