About the Integrated Dairy Development Project (IDDP) Scheme

The “Integrated Dairy Development Project (For 2 Cows)” scheme has been launched by the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, U.T. Administration of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. The scheme aims to promote dairy development through the introduction of Gir breed milch cows and the provision of necessary dairy inputs. Through this scheme, financial assistance and subsidies are provided to beneficiaries for the purchase of cows, cattle shed infrastructure, feed, mineral mixture, and insurance coverage.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. The applicant must be a resident of the Union Territory of Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
  2. The applicant should purchase only the Indigenous Gir breed milch cows.
  3. The applicant should utilise the grant only for the purpose for which it is sanctioned and within the stipulated period.
  4. The applicant should maintain all required records and registers as per the General Financial Rules, 1963.
  5. The applicant should submit utilisation certificates, audited accounts, and achievement reports as prescribed by the Department of Animal Husbandry &amp; Veterinary Services.

> Preference / Reservation:

  • A higher subsidy rate is applicable for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe applicants.
