The scheme aims to train and certify youth of Uttarakhand as skilled kayaking instructors with essential life-saving skills. Under this scheme, specialized training in life-saving techniques and kayaking is provided to selected youth beneficiaries of Uttarakhand.

The scheme “Basic Kayaking Course” is implemented by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board under the Department of Tourism, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to train and certify youth of Uttarakhand as skilled kayaking instructors with essential life-saving skills.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a youth of Uttarakhand.
- The applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
- The applicant should be able to swim 100 meters within 3 minutes.

- The applicant must be mentally and physically fit.
- The applicant must have prior training in life-saving techniques and water sports operations from a recognized institute.

Application mode: Offline
- The prescribed application form must be duly filled and submitted along with the required documents to the office of the District Tourism Development Officer.
