"Marriage Assistance Scheme" by the Madhya Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Department of Labour, Government of Madhya Pradesh, provides financial assistance for the marriage of a registered female worker herself (including one-time remarriage) and for up to two daughters of a registered worker. The scheme applies to the marriage of the female beneficiary herself or the legal, adopted, or stepdaughter of a registered construction worker, provided that the bride is at least 18 years old at the time of marriage.

Eligibility Criteria
For Registration
- The applicant should be a resident of Madhya Pradesh.
- The applicant should be a Building/ Construction Worker.
- The applicant should be between 18 and 60 years.
- The applicant should have engaged in any building or other construction work for at least 90 days during the preceding 12 months.
- The registration of the applicant should be renewed annually.
For Application
- The applicant should be a registered female worker or the daughter of a registered worker.
- The applicant should participate in the "Chief Minister Kanya Vivaah/Nikah Scheme".
- The bride should be at least 18 years old.
- The applicant should not have received similar assistance before.
How to Apply for Marriage Assistance Scheme (MPBOCWWB)
Application mode: Online
> For Registration
Step 1: The interested applicant should visit the prescribed authority mentioned below.
For Rural Area: Chief Executive Officer, Janpad Panchayat
For Urban Area: Commissioner/Chief Municipal Officer, Urban Bodies
Step 2: Registration can be done by paying a cash payment of Rs. 15/- (Rs. 5/- as registration fee and Rs. 10 as contribution for five years) to the prescribed authority in the prescribed form for five years.
Step 3: The receipt of fee receipt is given to the applicant by the prescribed authority. The approval / rejection of the application and accordingly the registration order is decided by the prescribed authority.
Step 4: The process of registration of labour is done through the departmental portal https://labour.mp.gov.in/.
Step 5: On completion of the online registration process, the identity card with the photo received from the portal is issued under the signature of the prescribed authority.
_*Arrangements have been made to register the construction worker on the basis of self-certification as a proof of 90 days of work in a year._
