  2. The applicant must be either a Freedom Fighter or the widow of a Freedom Fighter.

How to Apply for Monthly/Family Pension for Freedom Fighters and their Widows of Uttarakhand State

Application mode: Offline

  • Freedom Fighters and their widows are required to obtain the application form from the office of the District Magistrate.
  • The list of documents to be submitted along with the application form is specified in pages 13 to 17 of the Uttar Pradesh Freedom Fighters and their Families Grant and Freedom Pension Rules, 1975 (as applicable in Uttarakhand).
  • After attaching the required documents, the completed application must be submitted to the District Magistrate. Following verification by the District Magistrate and based on their report/recommendation, the case is forwarded for approval by the Hon’ble Departmental Minister/Hon’ble Chief Minister.
  • Once the approval is granted at the Government level, the pension is sanctioned and disbursed to the beneficiary.
