About the Mukhya Mantrir Eti koli duti paat Scheme

Mukhya Mantrir Eti koli duti paat (মুখ্যমন্ত্ৰীৰ এটি কলি, দুটি পাত), also referred to as the Assam Tea Garden Workers' Financial Assistance Scheme 2025, is launched by the Government of Assam to recognise the contribution of tea garden workers in the growth of the Tea Industry in the state. This initiative marks the 200th year celebration of Assam Tea and aims to provide one-time financial assistance to tea garden workers in recognition of their invaluable contribution, thereby supporting their socio-economic well-being.

The primary objectives of this scheme is:

a. To provide one-time financial assistance of Rs. 5,000 to all tea garden workers (both temporary and permanent) and employees, excluding tea garden management.

b. To support the welfare and financial stability of tea garden workers.

c. To promote financial inclusion by ensuring all beneficiaries have active, Aadhaar-linked bank accounts

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scheme, applicants must be:

  • a permanent resident of Assam and presently residing in Assam
  • registered tea garden worker or employee, excluding TE management, engaged in an officially recognised Tea Garden of Assam
  • hold an active AADHAAR-linked bank account in a scheduled commercial bank.

How to Apply for Mukhya Mantrir Eti koli duti paat

Application mode: Online

  1. Eligible tea garden management will submit a list of tea workers&#39; links as per the format (annexure A) to the DLIC committee.
  2. The list will be uploaded in DIDS portal.
  3. Upon aadhaar number verification of the above sl.no 2, DLIC can Approve/reject the beneficiary.
  4. The approved list will be moved for digitization as per Annexure B.
  5. Cheque will be printed only for the digitized beneficiaries.

Exclusions

Workers and employees of the following categories are excluded from the scheme:

  • Individuals who have already received similar cash assistance under any state-sponsored tea welfare scheme in FY 2025-26.
  • Owners and Management of Tea Garden
  • Owners of associated businesses
  • Small tea growers
  • Income Tax payee
  • Government employee
  • Contractual employee with any Government entity
