The "New Akanksha Scheme (Higher Educational Loan)" is implemented by the Gujarat Gopalak Development Corporation (GGDC) under the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Government of Gujarat. Under this scheme, educational loans of up to ₹15 lakh are provided to students belonging to the Rabari and Bharwad castes from socially and educationally backward classes for pursuing higher professional courses such as medical, dental, engineering, pharmacy, etc.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant should be a resident of Gujarat.
- The applicant should be pursuing higher professional education such as Medical, Dental, Engineering, Pharmacy, or related course.
- The applicant should have secured admission in an institution approved by AICTE, UGC, or any recognized university.
- The applicant should belong to the Rabari or Bharwad caste from the socially and educationally backward class.
- The total annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed ₹3,00,000/-.
- The applicant’s age should be between 17 and 45 years.

Step 1: Register on the Official Portal
- Go to the Official Website Gujarat Gopalak Vikas Nigam. - Scroll down on the homepage, find the &quot;New Aspiration Higher Education Scheme&quot; and click on &quot;Apply Now&quot;.
- You will be directed to the application form.
Step 2: Access and Fill Out the Application Form
- Complete all sections under &quot;Applicant information,&quot; including personal identifiers (Aadhaar No., Ration No., Voter ID), full name, father/husband&#39;s name, gender, complete address details, contact numbers, and income details (Applicant&#39;s income statement number, Date of receipt of income, Name of the officer issuing the income tax return, Total annual family income). Also provide Date of Birth, Age, Caste, and Subspecies. Also, if you are disabled and provide a percentage.
- For each applicable qualification (SSC, HSC, Diploma, Degree, Graduation), tick the checkbox and fill in the Degree, Board/University Name, Academic year, and Percentage obtained.
- Fill in details about the college/institution admitted to, university affiliation, course name, enrollment number, organisation address, website, course duration (in years and semester), and date of admission.
- Specify who accredited the course/institution, their name, and address. Proof of accreditation must be submitted.
- Select &quot;Yes&quot; or &quot;No&quot; for &quot;Have you obtained admission through government-mandated admission?&quot;.
- If staying in a hostel, provide the Hostel name, Hostel address, and Hostel contact number.
- Fill in the requested loan amounts for Admission Fee, Tuition Fee, Examination Fee, Hostel Fee, Estimated cost of books/stationery, and Other fees.
- List details of any physical assets owned (land, house, government property, NCC, LIC, KVP, etc.).
- Indicate if anyone in the family works in a government/private sector job. If &quot;Yes,&quot; provide Name, Designation, Place, and Salary details.
- Fill in the Bank Account Number, select the Bank Name from the dropdown, provide the Branch Name, Name as per Account, select Bank Account Type (Saving/Current), and enter the MICR Code and IFSC Code.
Step 3: Review and Final Submission
- Carefully review each module. Use the preview option to examine the application before final submission. Fill out the provided &quot;CAPTCHA&quot; and Click on “Submit”.
Track and Review Status
- The applicant will receive an Application ID/Reference Number. Save or print the acknowledgement for future tracking.
- Go to the Official Website Gujarat Gopalak Vikas Nigam. - Scroll down and locate the Know App Status. Click on &quot;Know App Status&quot;.
