About the Pay & Play Scheme Scheme
The “Pay & Play Scheme” was launched by the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Jharkhand. The scheme aims to provide state-level players with training and practice opportunities at the Mega Sports Complex, Hotwar, Ranchi. The scheme includes 11 sports disciplines: athletics, badminton, lawn tennis, table tennis, shooting, gymnastics, basketball, taekwondo, volleyball, wrestling, and swimming.
Benefits
- Training in 11 diverse sports disciplines: athletics, badminton, lawn tennis, table tennis, shooting, gymnastics, basketball, taekwondo, volleyball, wrestling, and swimming under professional supervision.
- Free registration and membership for school students (up to Class 10th) with the principal’s recommendation.- Free registration and membership for international/national participants and medalists.
- Athletics players enjoy 15 days of free access (non-repetitive).

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant should be a resident of Jharkhand.
- The applicant should be a sportsperson.
- The applicant should actively participate in state-level sports.
- The students up to class 10th with a recommendation from the school principal and National/international participants or medalists are eligible to apply.
How to Apply for Pay & Play Scheme
Application mode: Offline
Step 1: The applicant downloads the application form the official website.
Step 2: Fill out the form with accurate details and attach the required documents.
Step 3: Submit the form at the Jharkhand State Sports Promotion Society office.
Step 4: Pay the registration fee (₹50) and the relevant membership fee, if applicable.
