Pre Matric Scholarship for SC students- DNH & DD
The scheme aims to support the education of Scheduled Caste students studying in Classes IX and X. Through this scheme, annual scholarship assistance of up to ₹7,000/- is provided to eligible students.
About the Pre Matric Scholarship for SC students- DNH & DD Scheme
The scheme "Pre-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Caste Students" launched by the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, aims to support the education of Scheduled Caste students studying at the pre-matric stage, reduce school drop-out rates, and encourage continuation of education up to higher levels. Through this scheme, annual scholarship assistance is provided to eligible Scheduled Caste students studying in Classes IX and X. The scheme is implemented by the UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. The scholarship is provided as a consolidated academic allowance to support educational expenses. The scheme seeks to improve educational participation and progression of Scheduled Caste students to the post-matric level.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant should belong to the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
- The applicant should be studying in Class IX or Class X.
- The applicant should belong to the Scheduled Caste category.
- The applicant's parents' or guardian's annual income from all sources should not exceed ₹2,50,000/-.
- The applicant should possess a UT domicile certificate.
- The applicant must study in a recognised school with a valid UDISE code.
- The applicant must be divyang students are eligible for an additional 10% allowance.

How to Apply for Pre Matric Scholarship for SC students- DNH & DD
Application mode: Online
Step 1: Keep ready the soft copies of the required documents.
Go to http://www.scholarships.gov.in/. And click “New Registration”.
Guidelines for Registration will appear. Scroll to the bottom.
Read the undertaking carefully. Accept the Terms. Click “Continue”.
Step 2: A Registration Form will appear. (The fields marked as * are compulsory)
Fill in the details and click “Register”.
Your Application ID and password will be displayed.
The same will also be sent as an SMS on your registered mobile number.
Step 3: Go to https://scholarships.gov.in/fresh/newstdRegfrmInstruction
Click on “Login to Apply”. Enter your Application ID and password.
Type the Captcha and click “Login”.
On the next screen, provide the OTP received on your registered mobile number. You will be directed to the Password Reset screen.
Create a new password and confirm.
Click “Submit”. You will be directed to the “Applicant’s Dashboard”.
Step 4: On the left pane, click “Application Form”. The fields marked as * are compulsory. Fill the details and upload the documents.
You can either click on “Save as Draft” to complete the application later.
Else, click “Final Submit” to submit the application.
