Petrochemicals Research & Innovation Commendation

• The scheme provides a citation and a memento for each award category.
• Travel Allowance and Dearness Allowance will be provided to the awardees for attending the presentation function in person.
• The scheme provides national and international recognition to innovations, helping to improve the performance and quality of products leading to better market acceptance.
• Historically, under the previous edition named National Petrochemicals Awards, a sum of ₹3,00,000/- each for winners and ₹1,00,000/- each for runners-up was awarded.
• The commendations shall be conferred annually.

• The applicant must be an Indian citizen, institution, industry, organisation, or Start-up registered in India.
• The applicant must be an entity created by the Central government, State governments, or Union Territories.
• The applicant must limit the maximum number of members to five, in case of applying as a team or group.
• The applicant must present an innovation that is an original product, process, or an improvement on an existing product or process.
• The applicant must ensure the innovation increases the utility of the product or process by enhancing consumer advantages, accuracy, reliability, safety, product life, or versatility.
• The applicant must not submit a mere theoretical hypothesis, an innovation simply in the idea stage, or a perpetual motion machine.
• The applicant must present an innovation that is not older than three years at the time of submitting the application.
• The applicant must not be an awardee of previous editions of the National Petrochemicals Awards for the immediate three preceding editions or years.

##### *Step 1:* *Access the Official Portal for Application Submission*

The applicant must access the official online portal provided by the implementing agency, such as the Central Institutes of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology, to find the scheme guidelines and application links.

##### *Step 2:* *Fill out the Prescribed Application Format*

The applicant must apply online for the commendation under any relevant category or sub-category by selecting the appropriate form for an Individual, Team, Industry, Academic Institution, Research and Development Institution, or Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise.

##### *Step 3:* *Provide Detailed Information and Documentation*

The applicant must fill in personal details, academic qualifications, organization details, and upload comprehensive write-ups, technical descriptions, test reports, and photographs substantiating the innovation.

##### *Step 4:* *Submit the Complete Application Online*

The applicant must ensure that the application is complete in all respects, acknowledge the Certificate of Undertaking, and submit the application electronically for screening and evaluation by the designated screening committee.

• Innovation in Polymer Waste Management
• Innovation in Packaging Techniques including creative Design
• Petrochemicals and Newer polymer Applications
• Research in the field of Polymer Science &amp; Technology (for Research Students of Academic Institute/Research lab)
• Innovative “Start-up” venture in Polymer field

*2. Application of Polymers in Various Fields*

• Polymers in Agriculture and Water Conservation
• Polymers in Medical and Pharmaceutical Applications
• Polymers in other fields
