About the Sanction of Laptops - Andhra Pradesh Scheme

The Department for the Welfare of Differently Abled & Senior Citizens launched the "Sanction of Laptops" scheme to distribute free laptops to visually challenged, hearing impairments, speech impairments, and orthopedic challenges students pursuing professional courses. The A.P. Differently Abled & Senior Citizens Assistance Corporation proposes to procure 200 laptops at ₹30,000/- each.

Benefits

Distribution of Laptops.

  • Category I: Parent/guardian income up to ₹15,000/- per month - Full cost covered.
  • Category II: Parent/guardian income from ₹15,000/- to ₹20,000/- per month - Half of the cost covered.
  • Category III: Parent/guardian income above ₹20,000/- per month - Full cost to be paid by the beneficiary.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. The student should be a native of Andhra Pradesh.
  2. The student should be visually challenged, hearing challenged, speech impaired, and orthopedically challenged.
  3. The student should be pursuing postgraduate or professional courses.
  4. The laptop is sanctioned once in the lifetime of the student.
