The scheme “Shooting Permission Certificate” is implemented by the Department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Uttarakhand. It aims to simplify the process of granting official permission for film shooting in Uttarakhand through a single-window online system, ensuring timely approvals and promoting the state as a film-friendly destination.

- The applicant must be a film producer.

How to Apply for Shooting Permission Certificate
Application mode: Online
Before obtaining permission for film production, the producer must apply online on the &quot;Single Window System&quot; portal at https://investuttarakhand.uk.gov.in/filmshooting. While submitting the application, the producer must attach the Aadhaar Card, synopsis of the film, Registration Certificate/GST of the production house, or, in the case of a line producer handling the production, an authorization letter for the line producer, along with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) form filled online.
Once the department grants permission, a copy of the Film Shooting Permission Certificate is automatically sent to the relevant departments through the portal. The list of departments is as follows:
- Office of the District Magistrate
- Senior Superintendent of Police / Superintendent of Police
- Concerned DFO/Ranger/Forest Officer
- Concerned Kotwali / Police Station / Outpost In-charge
If the film is to be shot in a centrally operated forest area, the Film Development Council corresponds with the Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) and the concerned Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) for the issuance of a No Objection Certificate.
Permission for film shooting is also provided to the filmmaker free of cost within 14 days through email at ufdc2015@gmail.com.
