Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must have participated in games recognized by the School Games Federation of India or included in the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, Afro-Asian Games, or Olympics, as determined by a committee appointed by the Government.
- The applicant must below 20 years of age.
- The applicant must have won state-level competitions based on their sporting achievements.
- The applicant must have achieved success in junior or sub-junior competitions of the open category organized by a recognized All India Federation, prioritized based on their accomplishments.
- The applicant must not use banned substances or have any impairment that disqualifies them from participation, as such individuals will be immediately dropped from the scheme.
> Note:
- The applicant’s sports achievements over the previous two years will be considered for selection under the scheme.
- The above criteria for eligibility will be generally taken into account but the committee may decide to grant such players an exceptional status under this scheme in view of the exceptional achievements of any athlete, in order to expand his talent at the international level and to fully develop his abilities.
