About the Teelu Rauteli Award Scheme

The scheme "Teelu Rauteli Award" was launched by the Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to recognize and honor women and adolescent girls who have made outstanding achievements in various fields such as social work, education, literature, art, culture, courage, and bravery.

Benefits

Under this scheme, one woman or adolescent girl from each district, who has made outstanding achievements in a particular field, is awarded a cash prize of ₹51,000/- along with a certificate of appreciation by the State Government.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
  2. The applicant must be a woman or an adolescent girl.
  3. The applicant should have made outstanding achievements in any of the following fields:
  • Social service
  • Education
  • Literature
  • Art and culture
  • Acts of courage and bravery

How to Apply for Teelu Rauteli Award

Application mode: Online

  • Applications are invited once a year by the department through publicity. The application must be submitted online on the departmental website https://wecd.uk.gov.in/ - The received applications are reviewed by the District Level Committee, and three names are recommended to the Directorate from each district.
  • The State Level Committee evaluates these applications and selects the final participant. The award is distributed on 8th August every year.
