About the Welfare Services for Women Scheme

The "Welfare Services for Women" component under the Mizoram Grant-in-Aid framework implemented by the Social Welfare Department, Mizoram, is designed to address the needs of vulnerable women facing social, economic, and psychological challenges. The scheme supports voluntary organizations in implementing programs that ensure safety, rehabilitation, and empowerment of women in difficult circumstances.

Target beneficiaries include widows without support, women affected by domestic violence, survivors of trafficking and sexual crimes, women affected by disasters, HIV/AIDS-affected women, and women without any means of livelihood.
